The result of the move request was: moved. (non-admin closure) JudgeRM (talk to me) 20:45, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
Michelle de Vries (swimmer) → Michelle de Vries – The Michelle de Vries that currently redirects to Dave Rowntree is only mentioned in one sentence of the target, has no incoming links, and is not notable. This swimmer is the only notable Michelle de Vries on Wikipedia so should be moved over the redirect. Gorobay (talk) 16:02, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Speedy on this as there's no real reason not to? Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 17:54, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Comment the problem is that the English Michelle de Vries has actually played cymbals on some of Blur's songs. It's not inconveniencing anyone for the swimmer to be (swimmer), and no benefit in removing it. Not sure if the co-songwriter on Speed (instrumental) is the cymbal player or a third Michelle de Vries mentioned on Splender. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:20, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Comment Are either of them notable? EarlOfBagels (talk) 01:13, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Well the swimmer certainly is, as she's an Olympian (see WP:NOLYMPICS). Someone playing cymbals on a couple of songs almost certainly is not. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 08:19, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support. This is the only topic of this name that has an article, or that's covered at any other article. If necessary, add a hat note to wherever the cymbal player/music business person has the most coverage.--Cúchullain t/c 18:45, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support - the current arrangement is illogical, with the primary name being a redirect to a non-notable person's ex-boyfriend. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 01:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support as the only article of this name on Wikipedia. kennethaw88 • talk 23:07, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
