Stub?
[edit]We should talk about when an airport article stops being a stub. While the Gaspé Airport article is short, I also think that it has enough information to stand alone as an article. Certainly, you could make it longer — add information on accidents near the airport, airline schedules, etc. — but as it stands, the basic airport information and history are already there. Construction in 1965 ?
[edit]The French version clearly mentions the airport was reconstructed in 1965. There had been an airstrip long before that year. It was built during the early 1950s and it was used by Transgaspésien aérien ltée that later became Air Gaspé around 1960. At first, the airstrip was very small and didn't have the same facilities it has now. The man who built the first airport eventually rebuilt it with the help of Transport Canada. An interesting fact : When it became city propriety, one of the owner's conditions were that no citizen could ever pay taxes for a service they didn't use. Only the people who use the facilities are charged. [1]
