Mentions vs correlations
[edit]I suppose that strictly speaking "where its popularity peaked in 1997, the year in which" violates WP:SYNTH, and i will not criticize anyone who removes it on that basis -- but it's far more harmful to the credibility of the article to tolerate plausible causes of change being thrown in without any information that a change has occurred. Thus, in the following, i let Dr Quinn stand, but i am removing both the Transformers and the Finlay sentences:
- ... peaked in 1997, the year in which the popular TV series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman first aired in the U.S. with its lead character Michaela Quinn. Also in the movie transformers 1 and 2 the name michaela was used by the actress megan fox.As of 2008, it was 357th in rank for newborn girls in the United States.[1] The name's popularity in Britain may have been influenced by the success of wildlife documentary presenter Michaela Finlay, who was seen widely on TV in the UK after the mid 1950s.
(Even tho it seems far-fetched that the now-dead ref at the end of the 'graph -- which was added long after the Finlay info, and would not seem likely to address causes -- it is only fair to alert more Michaela advocates to consider tracking down the new location of the rank info, in case evidence of a trend in this particular name helped inspire citation of it on the accompanying Dab.)

"Who is like God?"?
[edit]Is it really "Who is like God?" with a question mark and not just "Who is like God"? 79.138.224.245 (talk) 20:32, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
