Needs a trim?

[edit]

This page sould probably be smaller, or at least better organised. I fixed some of the formatting to make the page look kinda respectable, but I don't know enough about this guy to figure out what's important and what isn't. Anyone else interested?

  • A couple of queries - which sites aren't accurate? It would help to know! I try to use sources like the original movie/CD credits and online library and film catalogues and the APRA title search, but they don't cover everything and the APRA search is rather limited. I suspect the IMdB isn't as accurate as people would like to think it is.
  • Secondly, I put in the info about the other band called Birdbrain because if you put Birdbrain in the IMdB soundtrack search it comes up with a song in the 1996 film Scream. As Michael works with music in films I thought it worthwhile pointing out that that was an American group, not his with David Munro. (At one time the IMdB muddled Brian Baker who worked with Eddie Rayner in The Makers with an American musician of the same name from Bad Religion.) But perhaps this note here would do instead... --Kylenano 11:54, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • PS looking through the article editing history it seems one site I thought might be reliable may not be, and it isn't the IMdB. But as I have no way of finding out for sure I don't want to say too much at present. --Kylenano 12:48, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article is perfectly accurate but brief. Maybe Wikipedia is not the appropriate place for such a thing as a discography or more detail about the many different instruments I play and compose with,or the fact that I play every instrument on most of the soundtracks I write. Alternatively,it may already be more than enough information for the purpose of identifying one obscure musician.

I would add information if I didn't think it would counter all the good editing done by others. There is a new television series about to air in August on SBS in Australia called Halal Mate(by Rebel Films) which was scored, and the music performed by me. I also did all the sound post-production for the first time.

Anyway,if anybody reads this and is interested enough to comment, that would help.It does seem sort of weird to be contributing to an article about myself, but at the same time,it's the only accurate info about me in the public domain that I am aware of...and is therefore a very good demonstration of the factual reliability of Wikipedia. It's a War on Error that has to be fought,Michael den Elzen.
