Mr. Funny Pants

[edit]

His memoir, a book about writing a book, seems to have been published. Or I am imagining that I am listening to an audiobook of same. Bustter (talk) 16:28, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Updating Bio

[edit]

Hey there! I'm on Michael's publicity team. We wanted to replace the first section of Michael's page (everything up to "Early Life") with an updated bio that reflects his recent achievements as a writer/director. Any way I could get admin help with this? We'd like to use the new bio, copied below:

Michael Showalter is a director, writer, and producer who most recently directed the 2017 hit The Big Sick. Previously he directed and co-wrote the 2106 film Hello, My Name Is Doris starring Sally Field. Michael's first film was the The Baxter (2005) starring Michelle Williams and Justin Theroux. Michael is a co-creator of the critically acclaimed television show Search Party on TBS. He also co-created the TV mini-series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later on Netflix.

As a writer and producer, Michael's other film credits include Wet Hot American Summer and They Came Together. Michael is a founding member of the comedy groups The State and Stella. He's also written two books: Mr. Funny Pants and Guys Can Be Cat Ladies Too.

Bio - Resubmitted with Sources

[edit]

Resubmitting the bio with sources. This should replace everything up to "Early Life."

Not done The lead should summarize the body of the article and give the most important facts about the subject. I don't think the proposed change does a better job at that than the current lead. Its tone also is unduly promotional. Furthermore, many of the proposed sources are not independent or not reliable. Huon (talk) 22:30, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
