In my opinion, this article either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it is a Copyright violation.

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of notability. Even though the lack of reliable source attribution in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, an article with absolutely no sources (or only external links to unreliable ones) suggests to some editors that multiple reliable sources may not, in fact, exist.

Although I am considering tagging this article for deletion according to the Deletion policy, I am nonetheless willing to assist User:Orlady (talk · contribs), and other recent contributors to this article, to make constructive improvements to it ... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

Please respond on this Discussion page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 19:05, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that was fast action! I created the article at 18:41 (UTC) with an edit summary saying "new article; I still have more information to add," and at 19:05 (UTC) it was already flagged as a potential candidate for deletion for lack of sufficient attribution. I guess I didn't type fast enough.... --Orlady (talk) 19:33, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you should have used a sandbox and asked Some Other Editor for feedback before posting it in Article space ... see Special:NewPages for how it was flagged so quickly. :-) — 151.200.237.53 (talk) 19:42, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies. After more than 13,000 edits in mainspace (and my share of "patrols" of new articles), I didn't realize that I needed to play "Mother, may I?" before starting a new stub-like article based on the obituaries (published in prominent places) for a recently deceased person. Note that this article was marked "patrolled" less than a minute after it was created. --Orlady (talk) 21:46, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done Actually, it's improved a lot since this version, and the operative phrase of the template is:

... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

This is just such a situation, so I have removed the Category:Flagged articles and Category:Flagged editors tags ... it's time for me to Move On ... BTW, I don't have a clue as to my edit count, but if you want to tally these recent IP accounts, then we'll both know whose is bigger. ;-)

Far be it from me to start an edit-count war. My point is that under the circumstances, your message came across as annoyingly condescending -- at best. --Orlady (talk) 02:57, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bless you, Michael

What a selfless, giving man Michael was. So very sad that he is gone, what a tragic loss to society. I knew him since childhood, he was a kind person even then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.126.17.168 (talk) 03:14, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
