That he is of Serbian descent is an important piece of info regarding context, not mare mentioning of ethnicity. He has been misidentified as Muslim, thus misleadingly categorized as Muslim scholar by passing-by editors, not to mention whole context of his works on Orthodox Christianity, Balkan wars, role of Serbian Orthodox church in destruction of Muslims in Bosnia and their entire cultural and religious heritage, part of which is discussed in the article itself. MOS is clear about references to ethnicity in the opening paragraph, and we need to follow that. He's not notable for his descent. Also, being of Serbian descent and being Muslim are not mutually exclusive. Family background can be mentioned in a separate Personal section. I moved it there.
