Proposed merger
[edit]As this article is of a poor quality, and duplicates information within Michael Schenker's own article, would it not be better to merge the two ?

Different names for the same band? Or different bands with the same name (Schenker)? Which is it?
[edit]Are Michael Schenker Group, Schenker's Temple of Rock and Michael Schenker Fest all the same band? It doesn't seem like it. Each name change coincides with major line-up changes. "Schenker's Temple of Rock" appears as the artist name on five ablums (2011-2016). "Michael Schenker Fest" on three (2017-2019). Discogs has separate pages for each band name.
Yet this article lists the albums and the members for each name as if they are just evolutions of the same band and even includes McAuley Schenker Group's albums and members. McAuley Schenker Group has its own WP page and is clearly a different band. The intro in this article even states this. Also, this article has a members timeline which displays all four bands (McAuley Schenker Group, Michael Schenker Group, Schenker's Temple of Rock and Michael Schenker Fest) and apparently all the members who have ever performed under any of these names, further suggesting this is all just one evolving singular entity.
If this is a single band, then this fact needs be clarified in the intro with maybe a history section added, all supported by some solid refs.
If these are separate bands, then all those lists of albums and members not belonging to Michael Schenker Group need to be removed. The timeline would need major clean-up or simply removed and the article would need to explain or reflect the fact that Michael Schenker Group has been inactive since 2011.
As it stands now, this article not only does nothing to help clarify an admittedly confusing situation, it makes it far worse.
If it proves too difficult to determine if these are just name changes or different bands, then perhaps it would be both better and easier to merge Michael Schenker Group into Michael Schenker's page, which has already been suggested above years ago. 97.85.251.254 (talk) 09:51, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
