C´mon. The whole "linguistic fluency" is bizarre. The fact that Macca could utter some disconnected words in pigeon Spanish with a mancunian accent and total disregard to grammar doesn´t make him fluent in Spanish. Better than Becks though.

Robbo linguistic pratfalls were part of the attracions of the TV show he worked in. He´s finally learning something after twentysomething years here, but still way far from perfect.

What about the Penn State Quarterback who lead PSU to the rose bowl and a #3 national rank (college football). He was drafted in the fourth round by the san fransisco 49ers int he 4th round of the 2006 NFL draft to play runningback. OK, I now see there is a link to that article, thanks

09/08/06 bbc "madrid stories"(?) tonight claim his show on spanish tv has a viewership of 30,000,000

NO show on Spanish TV has those viewing figures. Robinson is well-known and popular but since his channel Canal+ lost its analogue signal his mainstream TV presence has diminished greatly.
