What is he famous for? Adding a reference to his accomplishment would be great to assert his notability. Thanks. --Ragib07:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think he is mostly notable for who he is son of and who is father of. Other than that he was notable in Cambridgeshire politics. Personally I would drop the article--Erp19:29, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I've waited 2 months to see any notability (other than father-of, married-to, son-of), so I think this can easily be merged into the Pease family page. --Ragib18:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The original article was pretty crappy. Unfortunately it did not mention either the OBE, nor did it really cite any sources, the most obvious being an obituary in Nature. You don't get an obituary in Nature if you're not notable. I note the previous attempt to delete this resulted in a Keep vote (not "no consensus as asserted above"). But then it was basically deleted anyway by merging it. Flying Fische (talk) 17:27, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see how you got 'keep' out of the above discussion. If you feel you can make a worthwhile article, work on it in a sandbox to bring it up to par; it is not as though there is nothing in wikipedia about him just not a separate article. I also note that no one complained about the redirect for close on 5 years. --Erp (talk) 06:48, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is no need to take it to DRV as, like you say, the merge outcome was not a AfD outcome, it was made afterwards. But we need to find sufficient references to back up the claims. If his work as a geneticist was well enough known/respected to be referred to later and an obit in Nature, and his public/political life was enough to earn a OBE, then it's enough for me.
