[edit]

"Michael Mandelbaum is one of America’s leading foreign policy thinkers."

This first sentence is practically a definition of POV. I came to this article from reading about Thomas Friedman. Look at the difference. The Friedman article is in typical Wikipedia format. The Mandelbaum article is, by contrast, a blatant propaganda piece. To characterize it as a "stub" is no excuse. The article is at least 2 pages long and densely packed with statements and claims. It needs to be completely overhauled or removed. Dagme (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:09, 8 September 2011 (UTC).[reply]

User:Kelley Kornell posted the following note on my talk page <redacted--paraphrase is "with contact info">
I will attempt to discuss the conflict of interest issues with Ms. Kornell. GabrielF (talk) 03:19, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the quote from your talk since it contains contact info, and we generally try not to spread that around WP, even when the person puts it up themselves. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:59, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The Amazon links need to be removed. We should have ISBNs for the books (which we don't currently have), but don't need to be doing advertising for either Mandelbaum or Amazon. LadyofShalott 05:08, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Aren't the ISBNs on Amazon? I show 978-1586484583 for 'Goliath' and 978-1586483302 for 'Sports' Elizium23 (talk) 05:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No doubt they are... point is we need the ISBNs, and not links to Amazon. LadyofShalott 11:56, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
