German accent?

[edit]

He seems to have a German accent. It does not sound Irish to me. Does anyone know about this? ---Dagme (talk) 16:05, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Plagarism

The career section, copied below is almost exactly word for word from Limerick Leader. Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 18:11, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Career

[edit]

In 1979, Dowling became a professor at Fordham University and director of the Fordham campus in Tarrytown.[1] He went on to be a professor of social policy and assistant dean at the Graduate School of Social Services.[1][2][3] Afterwards working at Fordham, Dowling served in New York State government for 12 years, including seven years as state director of Health, Education and Human Services and deputy secretary to former governor Mario Cuomo.[1][2][3] He was also commissioner of the New York State Department of Social Services.[3]

Before joining Northwell Health in 1995, he was a senior vice president at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield (part of Anthem).[3][4][5] Prior to becoming president and CEO of Northwell Health on 1 January 2002, Dowling was the health system's executive vice president and chief operating officer. I agree that some of the section is close in wording, but the information is supported by other sources. I think rewriting it is the best option. SrunzeecTheGOBLIN (talk) 18:35, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
