which high school?

Interesting Background He Had
[edit]The fact that he was first ever rector in the main Washington D.C cathedral should be included with other details.2601:447:4101:41F9:15CA:DEC4:B21A:738A (talk) 18:22, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I did not write that remark, and I notice this Wikipedia article has him as rector of Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is prominent but it is not the cathedral. Carlm0404 (talk) 21:35, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
When ordered to live outside West Virginia?
[edit]That's part of the current restrictions, but was also mentioned back when his resignation from this see was quickly accepted. Carlm0404 (talk) 21:33, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
On a side note: Apparently Archbishop Lori restricted Bransfield's ministry as much as he could, prohibiting Bransfield from ministry in the Wheeling-Charleston and Baltimore Dioceses; per Pope Francis, the restriction now applies everywhere. Carlm0404 (talk) 02:52, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
3 top aides resigned
[edit]OK, but do you notice from other sources that one of them is Msgr. Kevin Quirk, mentioned earlier in this Wikipedia article as sending whistle-blowing letter? I see that all 3 transferred to parish work, continuing as priests of this diocese. Carlm0404 (talk) 21:37, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
"former disgraced prelate"
[edit]This language in the lede, which has been reinserted, remains problematic. (1) Since Bransfield still holds the rank of bishop, he remains a prelate, so that "former" is not correct. (2) "Disgraced" is vague and sounds opinionated. There is no clear definition of which prelates are "disgraced". Better to do what the lede already does: it states the accusations against Bransfield, the outcome of the investigation, and the restrictions imposed by Pope Francis. --Bistropha (talk) 09:01, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
