Move to Michael Gracz
[edit]I would like to move this article to Michael Gracz. I understand that his actual name is Maciek, but I've never outside Wikipedia seen that name used. It strikes me as confusing to have him listed in various articles under the name "Maciek" when the name is not in common use. There is plenty of precedent for listing players under the name by which they're best known while noting the real name in the article, for example Scotty Nguyen (first name Thuan), Mimi Tran (first name Thithi) and T. J. Cloutier (first name Thomas). Thoughts? Otto4711 18:37, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Also Maciek in HMDB. Try Googling for other refs. Up to opinion of WP:Poker though. Essexmutant 19:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- "Maciek Gracz" returns about 74,000 google results. "Michael Gracz" returns 175,000. Gracz refers to himself as "Michael" on his own official website (although the site itself is maciekgracz.com). Precedent on Wikipedia seems to be to list the player under the name s/he uses even if it's not his/her legal name. Otto4711 03:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Six of one; half a dozen of the other really. There are redirects in place. If it is moved, someone needs to pick up the consistancy work. Try raising the question at WP:Poker if you want a bigger response, as this doesn't just affect Gracz, but numerous other articles. Essexmutant 09:41, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
