While Michael Woodford is now included in the List of people involved in the Olympus scandal ... he is was never involved in the scandal itself and the only reason he appears in the list at all is because he is the whistle blower.
While at this time it could be argued that he is notable only because of this affair, it is doubtful that this would remain true for this individual because of the seniority of his experience. While this page currently focuses on this scandal, more more balanced information about this man and his career will undoubtedly be revealed going forwards.

- I think it is germane to that list to include a paragraph about Woodford. However, I have inserted a separate heading there as "The whistleblower". Thanks for making the good points above. – Fayenatic (talk) 12:33, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Michael Woodford (executive)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Michael Woodford (executive)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Takayama, who claims he was unaware of the cover-up scheme until he was briefed by Mori late Tuesday, said the company may consider filing a criminal complaint against Kikukawa and Mori depending on the outcome of a third-party panel investigation into the acquisitions. I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 15:40, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
