Reserves notability
[edit]@GauchoDude: so the reserves does get a mention if they play in a separate league (in this case the New Zealand ASB Premiership), like players for Newcastle Jets Youth, Brisbane Roar Youth and Perth Glory Youth, who play in the state leagues. --SuperJew (talk) 20:16, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- Reserves and second teams are frequently listed. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:35, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
- @SuperJew: @Walter Görlitz: After careful review of set precedents and consensus decisions, reserve players are NOT frequently listed. However in this specific instance, as the reserve league that Boxall participated in is within a country's football pyramid (as opposed to a separated, standalone league), his DOES warrant mention and will stay in the article. Sorry for my earlier confusion. GauchoDude (talk) 15:57, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Careful review? In most of the articles on my watch list reserve and second teams are always listed. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:30, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: Yes, careful review. I would hazard a guess that you must follow a lot of Spanish and French players (whose reserve/B teams are typically embedded within their respective footballing pyramids) as opposed to American/Canadian and English players (whose aren't, with few exceptions such as Chicago Fire Premier and Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 for play in the USL Premier Development League). As I stated, those who are embedded get mentioned, whereas players who have played in something akin to MLS Reserve League and English Professional Development League and formerly Premier Reserve League who aren't a part of the pyramid typically aren't. GauchoDude (talk) 17:13, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Please don't assume. I don't follow French or Spanish players. Perhaps you should perform some of that "careful review" to my edit history. And for the record, MLS Reserve teams are part of American and Canadian soccer pyramids. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:55, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

two separate loans
[edit]The senior side loaned Boxall to the development team, at that time known as their U-23 team, over two seasons. It was not a single loan. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Michael_Boxall&curid=19085999&diff=772977889&oldid=772977648 is therefore incorrect.
