the wire
it's a really sad state of affairs that Michael B Jordan played a significant role in season 1 of The Wire, one of the finest television shows, ever, and it's barely mentioned in this article. Who gives a damn about some soap? he was Wallace for gods sake, his downfall in The Wire was one of the saddest moments in the whole show. Coolug (talk) 20:25, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Same for FNL. I think his role in those two shows should be the most prominent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.175.195.230 (talk) 22:27, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Picture
Could someone add a picture of Michael B. Jordan in his infobox? I don't know how to do it ^^ Sofffie7 (talk) 12:41, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- I found this picture on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/44847311@N05/4347143749/ The license says "some rights reserved" and not "all rights reserved" so can we use it? If yes, I don't know how to do it :P

Middle Name
It says that his middle name "Bakari" is Swahili for "Noble Purpose." While the referenced source does say this, "Noble Purpose" in Swahili is "shabaha nzuri." "Bakari" doesn't seem to actually be a Swahili word. What is the proper way to document this incorrect translation? " — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:86:101:3E46:5484:91D2:BD51:53E0 (talk) 01:46, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- I took it down, it doesn't sound very Swahili but more like from a West African language. The problem was that the material was sourced, which is probably why it was up for so long. However, that source itself is not really reliable, being a clickbaity slideshow without a byline or attribution, who probably in turn got it from one those notoriously unreliable baby name sites that routinely make things up, like this one or that one that attest to it without citations. Some kind of protection request
I've seen an increase in problematic edits, probably due to his recent uptick in notability. Can we protect this, in whatever level is needed? --Volvlogia (talk) 22:50, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- I'd second this, unsure what RPP it should be though. Permanent autoconfirmed? It's been going on for a long time, longer than Black Panther. Maybe seems so because other similarly popular individuals have a standard of PP? JesseRafe (talk) 22:53, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- (For giggles, I looked it up, and I made 4.33% of all the edits to this page, and more than 85% of those were some variety of revert, presumably all for vandalism. Started moderately heavily in 2016). JesseRafe (talk) 22:59, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Music video
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
Not sure how I go about this, but I would like to request an additional edit to the “Music video” section as he was in the “Whoa” music video directed by NO SCHOOL & Isabelle P. Wilson, performed by Snoh Aalegra off her “- Ugh, those feels again” album, which was released on 13 December 2019. Reference by E! Change Football in "He has a sister, Jamila, and a younger brother, Khalid, who in 2010 signed to be a football player at Howard University." to soccer as it makes more sense, due to Khalid being a soccer player, not a football player. ShortusBlortus (talk) 01:04, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- Not done - Do you have a source to back this up? I've done a quick internet search and as far as I can tell Khalid is an American football player. Jr8825 • Talk 01:50, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
