This page seems pretty content-free -- looks like Mr. Arbib is using it as a bibliography page? I vote to delete on grounds of lack of significance. 69.105.98.10 (talk) 03:08, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Michael Arbib is a well known scientist, pioneer in bioinspired computing. Instead of thinking on deleting this page, it should be extended with more information about his work.
I do not understand this epidemic trend in wikipedia to shorten or delete many entries. It seems to me like some kind of boycott against this free encyclopedia becoming a limited encyclopedic dictionary. The original idea of an Encyclopedia was to enclose all the human knowledge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.178.238.117 (talk) 06:24, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to extend this page, with the goal of eventually removing the "needs additional citations for verification" flag. I am unclear about the complaint from 12 years ago--is that the basis of the classification?

I am familiar with the person this page discusses, and am mentioned within it. I can provide many references to papers and books by Dr. Arbib. What should I do to satisfy the "needs additional citations for verification" flag? Thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by RLDSoq (talk • contribs) 02:23, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't specifically require an administrator, but Wikipedia articles should summarize what others say about the subject, not the subject's own work or what they say about themselves. I'll leave your request and change it to a more general help request in case others have additional comment. 331dot (talk) 08:06, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@RLDSoq: Your mention of your connection with this page raises the issue of whether or not you should be considered to have a conflict of interest with respect to this subject. You could declare that connection on your user page - just a simple statement in your own words - and make edit requests here on this talk page.
That being said, it seems likely that Arbib may meet Wikipedia's notability standard for academics, but the current article entirely fails to substantiate this with independent references and may well be deleted for that reason. If you can present some suitable references, this unfortunate result could be prevented. But, as mentioned before, what counts as "suitable" references is not more of Arbib's own works. Ideally, there should be some appreciation of his work written up in one of the journals related to his fields of endeavor or even a general readership magazine article. — jmcgnh(talk)(contribs)21:24, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There seems to be no mention of his time in Perth. Nor family details. What about Pru ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.243.121.9 (talk • contribs)
