third most traded in the Americas?

There reads: The Mexican peso is the 8th most traded currency in the world, the third most traded in the Americas (after the United States dollar and Canadian dollar), and the most traded currency in Latin America.
Does this mean most traded currency in Americas, i.e. it is traded in North and South America the third most? Or does it mean it is third most globally traded currency from Americas? The way the sentence is written, I'd say it means the first one, though it would not make much sense. Perhaps it should be changed to "the third most traded from the Americas, and the most traded currency from Latin America"? 82.141.95.20 (talk) 08:30, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

It's the second variant according to the source. I've tried to reword the sentence. Enivid (talk) 09:46, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
