Value not matching

[edit]

The pH range given in this article (4.4-6.2) does not match with the value given in PH indicator (4.4-6.3). Could somebody check the real figure and make the corresponding correction? Thanks. - LR4087 13:36, 24 October 2006 (UTC) answer: range is 4.4 to 6.2 according to Merck Index. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.247.199.50 (talk) 15:24, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extinction coefficient

[edit]

Can someone please add the extinction coefficient to the methyl red site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.9.24.209 (talk) 22:02, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UV spectrum

[edit]

Can someone please add the absorption wavelengths with the extinction coefficients, please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.247.199.50 (talk) 15:07, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Neutral?

[edit]

In the photograph the end point colour is given as the colour at "neutral" pH. Given that the transition occurs below pH 7 surely at neutral the indicator appears as in an alkaline solution? And the colour labelled as neutral is actually the endpoint, around pH 6? 128.40.76.3 (talk) 13:28, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I've had a look for a replacement for the flagged dead link on this page, without success. I'm struggling to see what possible relationship there would be between James L. Schwing and methyl-red. I suspect this link is irreplaceably lost, so an alternative will be needed (if it's important). --Otus scops (talk) 02:18, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
