Re: Twitter incident

[edit]

Hi PradaSaetiew! I see that you undid some revisions since some of these were inserted by other contributors. I also had some contributions that we're undid and I do get your explanation. But I do want to discuss about the Twitter incident since the account suspension of Metawin was significant that it even prompted his talent agency, GMMTV to release a statement. May I know your thoughts on why this should not be included in this article. Thanks! — Emperork (talk) 01:26, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Name in article

[edit]

Has there been any past reasoning established as to why this article circumvents the style standards provided at WP:SURNAME and instead refers to the subject by his given name throughout the article? Per the guidelines, he should be referred to as "Opas-iamkajorn" any time after the first mention, not "Metawin". RachelTensions (talk) 14:12, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thai people are referred to by given name. The relevant point in the Manual of Style is linked at MOS:GIVENNAME. --Paul_012 (talk) 16:56, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah interesting, learned something new. Thank you! RachelTensions (talk) 17:00, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
