For those considering or planning a major revision on dithiolenes, I encourage or invite discussing thoughts in advance as some wikipedians are expert in this area.--Smokefoot 13:04, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Dithiones are extremely rare
[edit]The current graphics are misleading, suggesting that dithiones are important. Examples? --Smokefoot 17:51, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've found eight dithione-metal complexes on the CSD. But these may just be the resonance structures chosen by the authors. Did you mean examples of uncomplexed dithiones?

- I wrote that message a long time ago, but 1,2-dithiones are still unknown I am pretty sure. Conceivably things like (R2NC6H4CS)2 is known or could be made. On the other hand zillion dithiolene complexes are known, some of which are probably described as dithione complexes. Not a very fruitful area of reading, you'll find.--Smokefoot (talk) 22:16, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Dithiolate?
[edit]We need a section (or another article?) that explains exactly what is a dithiolATE. This article seems to be the closest and it does use the term dithiolate, but it is not too clear exactly what structure is meant. Dirac66 (talk) 11:23, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
