GA Reassessment
[edit]Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch
To uphold the quality of Wikipedia:Good articles, all articles listed as Good articles are being reviewed against the GA criteria as part of the GA project quality task force. While all the hard work that has gone into this article is appreciated, unfortunately, as of January 2, 2010, this article fails to satisfy the criteria, as detailed below. For that reason, the article has been delisted from WP:GA. However, if improvements are made bringing the article up to standards, the article may be nominated at WP:GAN. If you feel this decision has been made in error, you may seek remediation at WP:GAR.
My three main concerns with this article are its overall structure, that it may not be up to date in at least certain areas, and that the number of dead links makes it difficult to check some of the information.
- Lead
- Doesn't really summarise the article.
- Previous command and control system
- Uncited.
- New command and control system
- It's not all that new any longer.
- Contact Handling System
- "The Contact Handling System (CHS) is a piece of software which will eventually be used for command and control within London's Metropolitan Police Service. It was introduced in 2004 as part of the C3i Programme." We're now six years on.
- Staff shortages
- "... serving officers are reluctant to transfer to Central Communications Command due to concerns they may not be released for some time." Seems to be a frozen moment in time.
- References
- There are at least nine dead links.[1]
