It would be neat to have a map showing the disputed territory after the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and before the Gadsden Purchase. -- Beland 18:55, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
It would not only be neat. Mesilla is east of the Rio Grande and the article states the town was founded on the opposite side of the river from Los Cruces. A map of the area at that time might show the Rio Grande changed channels and the town was once southwest of the river as the northeast riverbank was part of the original Texas territory. Church of San Albino, minor basilica
