Spelling of surname
[edit]Many online references (including her own website)[1] spell her name as Meredith d'Ambrosio with a small "d" - not sure what naming convention is here DISEman (talk) 02:03, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- I changed it throughout, except for where it starts a sentence, and in the article's title where I don't know how to change it. But the title should be changed. I don't know a rule for the start of a sentence. Larry Koenigsberg (talk) 21:15, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- Now changing the title per instructions at Wikipedia:Moving a page#How to move a page. Larry Koenigsberg (talk) 00:23, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Page moved. (closed by non-admin page mover) Jerm (talk) 01:48, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Meredith D'Ambrosio → Meredith d'Ambrosio – Many sources, including the artist's own Web site, https://meredithdambrosio.com/, spell her last name with an initial lower-case "d". Accordingly, I tried to move the page, but this was automatically disallowed, presumably as a result of Wikipedia not differentiating lower vs. upper case in its article titles. Larry Koenigsberg (talk) 00:37, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support as nominated. But also, could this be a technical move request, if it was disallowed for some automated reason? Adumbrativus (talk) 04:10, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- It said: "The page could not be moved, for the following reason: / The page could not be moved: a page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid. / Please choose another name, or use Requested moves to ask for the page to be moved. / Do not manually move the article by copying and pasting it; the page history must be moved along with the article text."
