Merck Millipore → Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany – I consider this to be a potentially controversial move. This is the name indicated in the 'customer letter' which has been used to cite the name change; before posting this, I changed the name inline from simply "Merck" to the longer name. The current name of the article appears to be out-of-date, which is the main driver for this proposal. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:25, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. What's happened is that Merck KGaA has merged all its distinct brands into one, just called "Merck" - the proposed article title is just the name and address of the parent company, not a new name for this particular brand. There may be a case for merging this article into that of the parent company, but the proposed rename would be misleading. Perhaps moving this article back to Millipore Corporation might be a better idea? Tevildo (talk) 00:32, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Change page name to MilliporeSigma
[edit]This organization does business as MilliporeSigma in the US and Canada, and all its products are labelled accordingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.93.254.54 (talk) 19:43, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
