[edit]

I've never heard of an MB W195. Who did bring up that number, where are sources proving it? The MB Musuem webpage itself calls it a "1938 Mercedes-Benz W 125 Rekordwagen" based on the chassis of a W125. http://www.cms.daimlerchrysler.com/emb_classic/0,,0-195-142582-49-114230-1-0-0-0-0-0-433-78641-0-0-0-0-0-0-1,00.html

I guess this needs some sorting. Also, the list of speeds does not really belong here.

The reference to drag racing should be deleted. Drag racers reach their top speed only momentarily before "shutting down," as they typically have no cooling system. Also, this record should comment on the distance for which the average of 268 miles per hour was maintained.

This RekordWagen can be seen at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, just above the first floor restaurant. It can be seen without paying the general admission, which is required to go above the entrance level. (Playback devices, in several languages are available, at no additional fee, upon the purchase of admission.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.198.101.30 (talk) 16:04, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
