Evaluation on content: The content on this site is relevant. The content regarding policies in each country could be updated, especially in the US based off my research of state-level policies. All the content is pertinent to the topic. Something that is missing is topics that are covered in mental health curriculums, or resources available to students. Also, in the alleviation section, it would be useful to talk about therapy or other ways of addressing mental health, with links to other wiki sites that address it wholly. I would enjoy working on seeing what services are being offered to students and funding for schools to address mental health. I feel it would also be helpful to include behavioral issues that could arise because of peer pressure that are not listed. I believe knowledge on this is very helpful so those who do not understand mental health can get a better understanding. I wanted to also search for statistics because being able to see factual numbers would be helpful with understanding.

This article needs a lot of work

[edit]

There are so many unsubstantiated claims and statements in this article that need to be cited. There are some sources that are heavily relied upon to support a number of different claims throughout the article. There are some sources I question the credibility of as it concerns this topic such as some blog-style pieces from popular psychology/medical sites like WebMD. I think we could probably find more reliable sources for that information. There are sections where it's clear that a previous editor didn't find any reliable research for some sections and merely relied on what initial Google results gave them like the whole section on Singapore is just what this program website for REACH is saying. There are portions where it's clear a previous editor merely added information consistent with what they've encountered, though some of it could be true, without supporting the info with sources. For example, what was written about ADHD medication abuse. The different country sections need more citations and expanded. We could expand more on the "alleviation" section. As another editor mentioned, we could include more on what specific stressors students might be struggling with in school. Overall, a lot can be improved on this article. I'll be doing what I can and please feel welcome to review and confer with me on any edits I make. AshlynkD (talk) 21:36, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Great Start

[edit]

This article has a great foundation but could use some improvements. One suggestion I would make is adding new sections to ensure that anyone who comes across this article is getting all the useful information they may need about mental health in education. For example, perhaps creating sections that serves almost as a guide for teachers to identify warning signs in students who are struggling with their mental health and how to support them - obviously with the help of reliable sources. --GEMM98 (talk) 00:43, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This article provides a lot of information, yet a few needed citations. This helped me look for spots that needed improvement. I've made changed to a few sections and helped fill in the gaps. In addition, I edited the Prevention section to neutralize the tone of the subtopic.

Add A Fact: "Adolescent mental health crucial for adulthood transition"

[edit]

I found a fact that might belong in this article. See the quote below

Ensuring mental health and well-being in an adolescent’s formative years can foster a better transition from childhood to adulthood

The fact comes from the following source:

https://data.unicef.org/topic/child-health/mental-health/

Additional comments from user: Emphasizing the importance of mental health during this period of life could encourage more efforts and resources to support it.
