[edit]Someone's posted a load of bollocks in the trivia section. I haven't deleted it because it made me laugh. But it shouldn't really be there. Sachabrunel 16:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, SammyShammy did a loooot of rubbish. He uses different IP-Numbers. I don't think this is funny. I think this guy has a problem. I will delete the trivia section. Kekslover 07:23, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Dear Kekslover, they say German's have no sense of humour but really! I think you are the result of a sister-brother coupling. Possibly during World War 2.
- Thank you very much! And yes, you are right, Germans never have humour and of course my parents are siblings and I’m Hitler.
- Please visit a therapist. And please read the rules of Wikipedia. And if you find something about humour instead of facts in the articles I pay for your first meeting. Kekslover 05:48, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
"I pay for your first meeting?" What the flying hell does that mean you big humourless Nazi? You on the crazy glue again?
Menswear or Menswe@r?
[edit]The name mystifyingly changes in the middle of the article. If there was an actual change of band name, this needs to be mentioned in the text. If not, the text needs cleaning up. 86.136.251.6 14:34, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- When I created the page it was called Menswe@r, but moved it and changed a couple of words because they thought it was a logo style rather than a spelling. I disagree but really can't be bothered to get into an argument about something so stupid. There didn't need to be a redirecd before, which I thought was better. Actually, screw them, I'm moving it back. Sachabrunel 16:18, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- "Actually, screw them, I'm moving it back"? Charming. On what grounds? Just saying "that was their name" is not good enough. Citations, please.
- The name is written as "Menswear" with a normal A in, for example, John Harris's The Last Party, and in their entry on the All Music Guide. Writing a word with an "at" symbol in the middle of it is crude, difficult to read, and - as I pointed out when renaming the page - is no more the "official band name" than the lower-case B in Blur makes them "blur". Please learn to distinguish between logos and names. Oh yes, and find some of those citations. Malcolm Starkey 19:36, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Given that the previous move was made in bad faith ("Actually, screw them", as you put it), I've reverted the page to Menswear (band). Naming it "Menswe@r" violates WP: Naming conventions. Also, if it were truly the band's name, rather than a typographical affectation, why is it spelt "Menswear" on the cover of their second album, Hay Tiempo? Malcolm Starkey 09:22, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Neutrality
[edit]I have added the {POV} tag - the opening paragraph includes the sentence - "They signed their record deal after their fifth gig and were paid £500,000 as a publishing deal by Island when they had only written 7 songs." After that it gets far worse, without any sources of consequence. Citable sources, or large scale deletion, please.
