This is notable on the same grounds... --207.216.10.77 17:22, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
notable, but proposed merge
[edit]Unless someone cares to supply examples of 'meme hacks' used outside the realm of advertising and corporate identity, it is suggested that this be merged into a subsection on subvertising, and the relevant categories and stub tags be copied over. dr.ef.tymac 17:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
It seems to me that subvertising is more of a subsection of meme hacking than vice versa as subvertising uses meme hacking, whereas not all meme hacking needs to use or be subvertising. Haloquin 16:42, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Problems
[edit]The article doesn't cite external sources, & the alleged examples are just puzzling. There is no explanation of what makes Social Darwinism, Christian vegetarianism or the Muhammad cartoons a "meme hack". To stand as examples, these need reference to an external source identifying them as meme hacks. Otherwise they're just unsubstantiated OR. ωεαşεζǫįδMethinks it is a Weasel 21:34, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- No reply after two weeks, so I've removed these confusing, unsourced, interpretive examples. ωεαşεζǫįδMethinks it is a Weasel 19:51, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
