To do list
[edit]This article badly needs to be enhanced by a person familiar with the subject (which I am not). Some points to be addressed are:
- Disambiguate the links! For example, which meaning of "differential" is intended? Or do you mean derivative?
What is the X-section of a bar? Please give a link!- What do the variables () in the formula mean? Please give definitions!
- Please clearly distinguish the two things being analogized. If possible give formulas for each and show the similarity between them. Or else, explain how the single formula applies in each case.
Thank you for your assistance. JRSpriggs (talk) 11:08, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I think this page should probably be merged into Elastic Membrane Analogy, which appears to be a fuller article on the same topic, with a better name. Cardamon (talk) 22:00, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- Good idea. JRSpriggs (talk) 05:59, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
