Since this is such a short biography, shouldn't the IMDB page be enough reference? --RedKnight (talk) 23:27, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In a word: No. For openers, no topic is notable without substantial coverage in reliable sources. If we cannot gather enough information from reliable sources to write a sufficiently detailed article, Wikipedia should not have an article on the subject. More to the point, IMDb is not a reliable source for biographical information, as it is (essentially) user edited. No biographical information should be sourced to IMDb. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:23, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Issues tag - Notability was questioned in 2009

[edit]

Notability has not been established. ----moreno oso (talk) 06:32, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I must be missing the notability if she had the "lead". The IMDb article on the show lists her near the bottom and in only 25 episodes versus 65 plus for the other articlesactors. Will PROD. ----moreno oso (talk) 07:03, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Substitute PROD now shows the 2009 AfD was a Delete. Still no notability. ----moreno oso (talk) 07:07, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Still see no "lead" mention in article. Would have asked for citation if existed. ----moreno oso (talk) 07:10, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not an admin and did not have access to the prior AfD. It was only after I PROD'ed the article that the old AfD came to light. I have seen other admins leave this type PROD in effect and deletion took place seven days later. ----moreno oso (talk) 22:58, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Years too late, I see this, you don't need to be an admin to see the prior AfD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Melinda_Shankar I'll add an oldafd template to link to it. --je deckertalk 00:08, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
