Clarification requested
[edit]Boozer wasn't nominated "by petition" or any other way by the Democratic Party in 1980. Yes, he received a handful of votes before Walter Mondale was moved by acclamation to the actual nomination, but he was not the nominee by any use of the word. You could fairly say his name was put in consideration or that he received some votes but only Mondale was nominated as the VP candidate by the Democratic Party at that convention. - Dravecky (talk) 11:03, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
