Meikle Wartle
[edit]Meikle Wartle is a small village in the north-east of Scotland. It is around 8 miles north-east of Inverurie. The local shop is called the Drum. At the Drum there is also a garage run by George Hay, who specialises in Land Rovers, and a B&B is nearby. There is also a big house near by, called Warthill House. The village has some very old buildings, and there is still the garage in which the village shop used to be. There is also a village hall that can be hired out. The local school is Rayne North. It is a very small school, but it is a great school because everybody is so friendly. Rayne North is a feeder school for Meldrum Academy, but there is also the option of the Gordon Schools in Huntly or Inverurie Academy.
