- Megan Evans is a multidisciplinary artist, working in video, photography, sculpture, and installation. These media build on a background in the traditional mediums of painting and drawing. She began her career as a professional artist in 1983 when she designed and painted the Northcote Koorie Mural with Les Griggs, Millie Yarran, Ian Johnson, Ray Thomas and Elaine Trott.
- Megan's work is informed by social issues. It examines the nature of belonging and the impact of colonisation on identity, both self and nation. Her practice ultimately involves a mix of conceptual issues and aesthetic concerns.
- Her current work can be seen at www.meganevansartist.com.
