I believe the claim that Danny Way invented the mega ramp concept is incorrect. Matt Hoffman was, to my knowledge, the first to conceive and built a quarter pipe ramp around 6.3m (21') in height, around 1992 or 93 perhaps, from which he'd launch out of after being towed into by a motorcycle. He then went on to build a mega-halfpipe as well. Britoca (talk) 04:12, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A Mega Ramp isn't just a really tall quarterpipe. The Matt Hoffman section of this article does not belong. There were lots of very tall quarterpipes built prior to 1991. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.67.251.114 (talk) 02:34, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MegaRamp Inc

[edit]

We own the rights to all things MegaRamp, we are in the process of fixing this Wikipedia page. Matt Hoffman did indeed have a lot to contribute to the idea of the MegaRamp but Danny Way was the one that put a neck, gap, and quarter pipe together, without the use of, or help from any type of motor — Preceding unsigned comment added by MegaRamp (talkcontribs) 20:37, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Megaramp is a ADJECTIVE, do you understand??? You can have a company called Megaramp, but you cannot stop people from using the term "megaramp" to identify any giant ramp, be it a 1/2 pipe or a 1/4pipe, or whatever. Mat Hoffman built the first giant ramp, a 1/4 pipe, followed by the first giant 1//2 pipe in Oaklahoma, complete with giant roll-in. If you have proof or evidence of any such giant previous ramps, please, let's see it because I rode BMX for almost 20 yearsin the 80s and 90s and never heard or read about any such megaramps before the day Mat decided to build one.

So stop changing historical facts for your company's interest. Mat invented megaramps, DEAL WITH IT. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.246.163.1 (talk) 19:04, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Megaramp is a noun, not an adjective. 2606:6000:CD82:4B00:99E1:8225:36F7:C0DA (talk) 23:05, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
