Confusing
[edit]Who does this law apply to? What does it require them to do, or forbid them to do? Why did the Irish not want to to go by it? Truth to the Forefront (talk) 01:42, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
Someone who can improve this article might not know much about American laws. I think for that reason it would be very beneficial for them to read the Wikipedia article on the Third Amendment to the United States Constitution, which is probably the most obscure part of the U. S. Constitution. That article does say when it proposed and ratified, and gives the dates for a few Supreme Court decisions citing it, but it goes beyond that, explaining what it was meant to do and why it is so rarely invoked today.
