Basic Information
[edit]Stuff that should get addressed in this article:
- Where does this festival take place? Is it only along one river? Is it local to one town? Regional?
- If these gods are not notable, could they have their own section in this article?
- Does it take place during the first full moon? I have specified this for clarity, but I am mostly guessing!
- What is the significance?
- Please separate the mythological story that this celebrates from descriptions of the actual celebrations.
I do not know enough about the region to add these things, but if you do, please help! ~~Andrew Keenan Richardson~~ 21:00, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
This article needs improvement
[edit]The article evidently has been created by someone with limited knowledge of English. Many details lack coherence and a proper sentence structure. The article needs improvement. The translations of the Tamil words are needed as this article is for international audience. N K Srikanth (talk) 02:15, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
The major part of the history is the legend behind the festival. It must be removed from the history section and included in the legend section. History section must be expanded with details on the historical development of the festival. N K Srikanth (talk) 02:53, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
In the Alagar Vaigai Elunthuarulal sub-section, two points have been mentioned, poopalapku and Dashavatara. I couldn't understand what these are. Are they part of the festival? If so, how are they celebrated? N K Srikanth (talk) 02:56, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
