Since these produce much lower voltage drop than solid state or valve devices, are they not attractive for high current high power applications today? Tabby (talk) 11:35, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

That seems fairly trivial to solve compared to the power loss of silicon diodes at thousands of amps (for electrolysis). Tabby (talk) 03:05, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
