Format issues
[edit]According to Wikipedia:Citations#Citation styles, citations should be editor-friendly, and the spaced-out style you used is not useful. Wikipedia:Guide to layout#Headers and paragraphs says that headings should not be placed without contents underneath them. Please remember that this is not your personal page, WP is a collaboration, and to be civil. • Freechild'sup? 17:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, Wikipedia:Citations is silent as to formatting of citation templates. The format I use is editor-friendly, since it makes the template use much more obvious, visually separates out the citation from the claims it cites, and avoids the readability problem of putting extensive blobs of citation template in-line with the human-readable text. The only readability problem it introduces is extra vertical space used for the citation, which I feel is an acceptable tradeoff.
- As to the headings, they are not intended to stay that way. This article is a work in progress and those headings are there to provide a structure which will be filled out as I continue to work on the article. It doesn't make sense to 'fix' this when it will be shortly changed back.
- Kindly do not lecture me about civility; there is no more incivility in asking you not to do things than there is about your deciding to change things arbitarily. Collaboration goes both ways, after all. If someone's gone to a lot of effort in formatting things a certain way, it's probably best to ask first before changing them all. - I have read over your talk page and notice that you have continuous issues with civility and collaboration, therefore I will not attempt to work with you on this page. Good luck. • Freechild'sup? 18:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's a rather uncivil comment. -- 71.102.174.155 (talk) 10:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Patents Held by William Riley McKeen
[edit]McKeen Patents I have developed a list of the U. S. patents held by William Riley McKeen for components used on his gasoline motor car. I am unsure about where to put, and how to format the information.Don Strack (talk) 12:21, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
