Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I am a student at a New Brunswich university who is writing a paper on a business of importance in Eastern Canada. I chose to write my paper on McInnes Cooper because of its long history and impact on the Atlantic Provinces. I will fix this article as to not sound like an advertisement, but when I compare it to other law firm websites I cannot help but notice that they too sound like advertisements yet have not been deleted. Some examples are https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasken_Martineau, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMillan_LLP. Specifically, which part should be amended? Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... As far as notability goes, I am having difficulty seeing how this article fails to credibly indicate the importance of McInnes Cooper when other law firm pages have minimal information about the firm. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacPherson_Leslie_%26_Tyerman, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bennett_Jones, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aird_%26_Berlis for examples. The pages referenced include only high-level information about foundation and number of employees, and lack the information necessary to distinguish themselves from McInnes Cooper, who has acted for 150 years and is one of the largest firms in Eastern Canada. --Cork65 (talk) 18:18, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
