Orphaned references in Mayorship of Rob Ford

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Mayorship of Rob Ford's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Ransom was told to report to City Hall at about 9 p.m. where he found Ford with an entourage that included aide Brooks Barnett, old Etobicoke friend Peter Kordas and an attractive blue-eyed blond he knew only as Alana. Ransom would later tell police that he suspected Alana may have been an escort or prostitute. "There have been rumours that Mayor Ford has used escorts or prostitutes. Alana has also been seen with Mayor Ford at a stag party." {{cite news}}: Unknown parameter |deadurl= ignored (|url-status= suggested) (help)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:51, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE

[edit]

Obviously when this long section of text was removed from its original article and made into its own article, some links were orphaned. I removed some outstanding orphaned redlinks, which will need to be restored in full. There seemed to be a lot fewer than might have been feared. Quis separabit? 22:34, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mayorship or Mayoralty ?

[edit]

Any ideas, anyone?? Quis separabit? 04:54, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mayoralty sounds better.Lake Ontario Wind (talk) 13:27, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Mayorship sounds like either the name of a boat :-) or a person. Mayoralty sounds like a term of office. Alaney2k (talk) 15:58, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
