She is described as a film producer, but the two references for that are a passing mention in an LA Times article and a link to a company called French Toast Productions which says it is dissolved and has no indication what it did. There is one mention of a company of that name in IMDB, as producer of one short film. Ideally, the article should have some more detail. -- Beardo (talk) 04:51, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good point! The only references to Feibelman as a "producer" seem to be merely quoting the Wikipedia page, while there are no other solid references A 2019 interview with Feibelman in Rolling Stone says nothing about her being a "producer." I'm removing "producer" from Wikipedia and Wikidata pages about Feibelman, on that basis. AlineXu (talk) 17:22, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I see that Rolling Stone also mentions this article, and criticises the description "seamstress". And I don't see any sources for art collector. -- Beardo (talk) 03:01, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure of the best approach, but for now I am adding a verifiable reliable source (book) that says explicitly, "Maxine herself has stated that she was, in fact, a 'seamstress for the band.'" Is that sufficient, or should we add that Rolling Stone article as questioning the accuracy? -- AlineXu (talk) 19:38, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My grandmother’s name is Maxine Phyllis Feibelman and she goes by Phyllis, but she was born in 1934 and is not the same Maxine Feibelman who was a seamstress for bands and who was referenced in Elton John’s song Tiny Dancer. Has it been confirmed that the Maxine Feibelman described in this Wikipedia page has the middle name Phyllis, or is it more likely that someone made an assumption about her middle name after my grandmother’s name came up in a Google search? 2600:8807:8105:8500:68EC:8B45:DB2A:D473 (talk) 21:05, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have no clue about any connection to your grandmother, but apart from that, there's no sourcing whatsoever for the purported middle name "Phyllis", which is a requirement for personal information in BLPs so out it goes. TJRC (talk) 23:12, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
