Possible plagarism

[edit]

The contents of this article looks very similar to the article at this site. I think that it probably should be rewritten. Imperator3733 19:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have noticed this as well. 14 years later, almost exactly, and the article has not been sufficiently re-written or edited to erase this likely plagiarism. It appears as though the initial submission text for this Wikipedia entry was created from bits of that article. --FlintTD (talk) 23:58, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Tonnage?

[edit]

It seems as though some of the tonnage estimates for the battleships are incorrect at the bottom of the page. From what I understand, the Iowa and South Dakota (1920) class battleships had their tonnage measured in long tons, for instance, the Iowas displacing 45,000 long tons. This article, however, lists them as 45,000 short tons, which translated into 40,800 long tons. I'm not sure this is correct. Can the tonnage estimates at the bottom of the page be corrected with reliable sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prince of Darimar (talkcontribs) 07:39, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I can find very little information on what exactly this is referring to? Checked multiple sites for it and there is only a single picture referencing it and no other information? 115.64.160.15 (talk) 16:05, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
