Return to Australia
[edit]My sources tell me Max Sharam has "Recently returned from living in Manhattan and Berlin." http://drsketchymelbourne.com/ 203.56.94.11 (talk) 06:02, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

DOB
[edit]@Dan arndt: I couldn't find a reference to the DOB nor to the exact birthplace in any of the references, so I had removed them before the article subject made their appearance to complicate matters. Can you point me to the references for the DOB and "early life" section? Cheers! Geoff | Who, me? 23:23, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Seconding this. I did a Google search for the birth name, and basically every result is Wikipedia, a mirror site, or one of those spammy "celebrity birthday" sites. Not a single RS. None of the sources in this article mention DOB, birthplace, or birth name. Especially in a BLP, it is not helpful to revert someone, citing "sources references", without actually naming a source. - @Vermont:, @Glane23:, there are multiple reliable secondary sources containing Sharam's real name, including [1], [2], and [3]. Dan arndt (talk) 01:05, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- Then there are references available for her birthplace, [4]. Dan arndt (talk) 01:09, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- These sources do not seem to state that "Leanne" is a "real name", or that "Max Sharam" is exclusively a stage name (which you added in 2013). You've linked to three catalog entries referring to the subject as Leanne, one of which seems to be a grad student directory, one is an APRA AMCOS catalogue entry, and the last is a list of grantees. None of these are actual coverage, and are entries alongside a variety of non-notable people (other artists, grad students, and grantees).
- Given that coverage using "Leanne" is this trivial, and that no RSs provide sufficient context, and that this subject is exclusively notable under "Max Sharam", I don't think it should be included. Basically all existing coverage does not mention "Leanne".
- WP:BLPPRIVACY offers additional compelling reason not to accept these sources as reason to retain this content:
Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources...Consensus has indicated that the standard for inclusion of personal information of living persons is higher than mere existence of a reliable source that could be verified.
- You have also not provided sources for the other information about this subject that you added in 2009 and reverted the removal of today:
- Birth year
- Graduated from Performing Arts College with a major in Behavioral Science
- Studied singing and the electronic organ
- TL;DR, minimal coverage, everything is under Max Sharam, so per WP:BLPPRIVACY I think we should remove it. Best, Vermont (🐿️—🏳️🌈) 02:35, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have reverted this information [5], since it was restored in bulk without appropriate sources (even without considering WP:BLPPRIVACY). MarioGom (talk) 09:01, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- Then there are references available for her birthplace, [4]. Dan arndt (talk) 01:09, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- The only secondary RS I could come up with that does this was ABC News (Australia). I'm inclined to exclude the information on WP:BLPPRIVACY grounds if it's the only reliable secondary source that reports the name, as it doesn't appear to be widely disseminated (even if it's correct). — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:27, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
