Maratone

I think Maratone should have its own page with links to Max Martin etc. Maratone and Max Martin are two separate things, and there are more people working at Marataone than Martin.

I think the following is either unsuitably vague or just patently false:

'The producers at Cheiron had almost the opposite of the producer role of the late '60s, when an artist would write the songs and then hire a producer to help shape the sound. At Cheiron the producers wrote the songs, played the instruments, engineered and mixed the recordings and the artist was only brought in near the end of the process'

whoever wrote this has obviously never heard of Motown, Stax, or any other Pop oriented production house (with the singular exception of the Beatles and George Martin). The vocalist has traditionally been brought in when necessary in American Pop. I can't fathom what this person was talking about!

Orphaned references in Max Martin

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Max Martin's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Picture

I find it a bit odd that while there are pictures of Katy Perry and Brittney Spears, there is no picture of Martin. I'm assuming the people who compiled this page actually kind of like the guy. If your an editor of this page and also a fan/respect this extremely succesful producer, why not put HIS picture up instead of people who have numerous pictures of themselves up on wikipedia and elsewhere. Tominrochester, it's too hard to find his picture from any sources. I attempted to do this, but it fails because there is an issue about copyright. I forgot the source on that. Too many songs in the introduction

Do all of his 17 US number one hits really need to be listed in the introduction? It would be much better reading if someone chose the five biggest hits and skipped the rest. Aikclaes (talk) 19:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Several of those songs (the Jessie J songs, "Wide Awake" and "The One That Got Away," maybe others) weren't even #1 on Billboard (in the US, at least). I'd just excise them/move them to the next sentence, but the article has an embedded "see talk page before changing this list" message, so. The list as it currently stands is clunky and incorrect. It needs to be changed. I will probably change it in the near future. The "don't change this list without discussion" message is ridiculous and should probably be changed. Difference in writing and producing #1 songs

Hi. Martin was the co-writer of "It's Gonna Be Me" by N'SYNC, but he didn't produce it.

So he has 20 #1s written and 19 #1s produced.
