Continuity?
[edit]Anyone got a statement/quote we can include explaining how Max does/doesn't affect mainstream Marvel continuity? Probably something that should be mentioned here. --Mrph 00:36, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think that there is a need for a statement. Continuity issues in MAX comics are taken on an series to series basis. Some are in-continuity (Alias, The Hood), some are out of continuity (Fury, Supreme Power), some aren't even related to the Marvel Universe (Haunt of Horror: Edgar Allen Poe), and some are unclear (Punisher, Rawhide Kid). JonBidinger 08:16, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- It's not unclear at all. The MAX storyline of the Punisher is set in in the Marvel world.
- I beg to differ. The 616 Punisher comics and the MAX comics have conflicting continuities. There is an ongoing debate in the main Punisher discussion section over whether or not it is canon to 616. FearEmbodied (talk) 08:04, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's not another world like Ultimate Marvel. For the Punisher they simply moved the Punisher from Marvel Knights Imprint to the MAX Imprint in 2004 so the Punisher could more of a rated R or a rated NC-17 comic book.
No subscriptions available.
[edit]Added a note about how Marvel doesn't offer subscriptions to Max titles.
After reading some of the Punisher series (that I pirated, el oh el...) I went looking for a subscription online (I really did want to buy a subscription), only to find nothing of the sort or even a mention of it on their website.
After googling 'Marvel Max subscriptions' I found this page http://subscriptions.marvel.com/help/ , where Marvel states titles are only available through specialty retailers. Instead only offering a zip code tracker to find the nearest specialty shop near you.
A gripe: Marvel, you're a bunch of idiots. I'm more than willing to buy a subscription to a Max series, but I'm not willing to drive 30 miles to the nearest retailer that sells these. I'm not exagerrating that distance, and man do I wish there were a comic shop in my city, but there isn't. (Guess I'll stay pro-torrent for a while longer.)
Ok, I vented, at any rate, I added the note as it would definitely be of noted interest to people coming to this wiki for more info on the label.

Critical Reception
[edit]The critical reception bit is sorely lacking in any information at all. Could use some sources and some more detail about reception for the series. Lot49a (talk) 14:44, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Stan Lee?
[edit]Does anyone know about Stan Lee's thoughts on the Max imprint? Does he like or dislike it? What does he think of the mature content? I would really appreciate it if someone could give me feedback on this query. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Editor 155 (talk • contribs) 12:19, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Logan
[edit]The Logan miniseries was published by Marvel Knights, not Max, so Iwill delete it. The Editor 155 (talk) 16:00, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

MAX (comics) → Max (comics) – Per MOS:TM, we don't capitalize unnecessarily. In titles, we use standard English capitalization. Powers T 15:06, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
