Notability
[edit]Noualhier was an early student of the Hemiptera. He named at least 30 species that are still valid more than a hundred years later, including a number of genera. His work is still cited, although his descriptions have for the most part been superseded. See for example: Linnavuori, Rauno E. and Al-Safadi, Mousa M. (1993) "Acrorrhinium Noualhier and Compsonannus Reuter -(Heteroptera, Miridae) in the Middle East" Entomologica Fennica 4: pp. 169–177. --Bejnar (talk) 03:03, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
