Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Maurício Abreu is a leading, renowned name in Portuguese photography. I think this was added by simply bad faith, since the person who decided to do so seems to don`t know anything about him. There are plenty of sources that we can use to assure his importance. Among other notable works he was the photographer of José Saramago travel book Viagem a Portugal (1990). --Mistico (talk) 15:43, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know anything about him. but don't assume it's bad faith. There needs to be a review as to whether the individual is notable. Leave the heading there until that's settled. Contaldo80 (talk) 13:58, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Mistico: This could really do with more reliable sources. As a "renowned" photographer, it should be possible to find more sourcing. And no, it is reckless to accuse a new page patroler of bad faith because he tags an article for CSD. They review many, many articles.Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:28, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the article on the Portuguese site. It has only one reference - the website http://www.mauricioabreu.com It worries me that this is not impartial. This article still looks dodgy to me. On what grounds Ritchie333 are you satisfied it is fine? Contaldo80 (talk) 11:16, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The Portuguese Wikipédia article about Maurício Abreu now lists three RS. So, its a case closed about this present article importance.Mistico (talk) 17:12, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, the portuguese sources are a disgrace. Two of them are book selling websites and I can't even locate the subject on the other one. This is just not good enough. Contaldo80 (talk) 08:16, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
