Some thoughts
[edit]- we should not use any key words like "Top 20 Colleges under WBUT" here as there is no such docs presents, rather the present presentation is better than what ever it was written earlier. Mrikapa (talk) 06:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Please protect
[edit]Many recent edits here seem to confirm that some users have been trying hard to portray the colleges of their choice to be the best in this university without giving any unbiased references whatsoever. After reviewing them all I have reinstated the one which seemed to have the right kind of references and was the most balanced edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikinvigilator (talk • contribs) 05:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Proposed Name Change
[edit]Dear Users,
I understand that some of you are eager to change the name of the university to MAKAUT. But please note that this is a state university. In order to change the name, a required legislation needs to be passed in the floor of the state assembly. Since the state assembly is not meeting right now, if the Government wants to make the name change right now, it has to do so via an ordinance. However, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shrimati Mamata Banerjee, has not mentioned anything about that. Also please note, that a facebook post is merely an intention and not an act of the Government. Until a proper legislation is passed, please refrain from changing the name of the article.
